We are proud to say that our 4.5k loop trail has been rated 5 stars by AllTrails users. It is accessible for all skill levels year-round and takes you around the Fordham Hall Estate and features a stunning lake and church. Feel like something shorter? Our trail is easily adaptable with clear short-cuts so can be adjusted for your needs.
Our outside dining shelters make the ideal spot to relax, whether you want to fuel up with a coffee and a cake before you set off or reward yourself afterwards with an indulgent prosecco afternoon tea. The Essex Way runs through our garden so it also makes a superb pit stop for lunch. Have little ones with you? Our family area is complete with play equipment so your children can play as you enjoy a refreshing drink.
We have covers for muddy boots so don’t let that stop you from discovering our antiques centre. The Shoulder of Mutton is a 14th century old public house, steeped in history, so it makes a perfect home for our treasured range of quality antiques and collectibles. Dogs are welcome too in the antiques centre, courtyard, barn and garden...humans must be well-behaved!
We know the frustration of arriving for a relaxing stroll, only to find that there is nowhere to park. That’s why we offer free parking to all of our customers. Cyclists are also welcome to park up with our bike racks.
